oops! deleted Windows Installer on accident!

I went into add/delete programs to delete Windows Defender (went with another program) and accidentally deleted Windows Installer. Do I really need this? If I do, can you suggest where to download it again? (was being tugged on by upset 1 1/2 year old at the time so I was rushing thru it and didn't notice until it was too late rolleyes) Thank you

 

I did this about 3 days back. N yes you do need this to the best of my knowledge for critical windows updates n things of that nature.

I thought i was had because i was trying to get it back from MSUpdates site. on IE n i couldn't because well.. i didnt have the installer. lol

I copied the link n pasted it in Firefox n downloaded it with Firefox to my desktop then installed it that way.
