I was working on an old motherboard. When trying it, I forgot to attach the wires to the power button and LEDs. (The soft power connector from the power supply was connected.) It turned on as soon as I plugged it in, and I realized the problem and unplugged it again. After reattaching the wires, the power LED works, but the button has no effect. It just stays on.:confused Does anyone know if I hurt something by not plugging the power button, or was it something else? Or could it hurt something else to run it this way? I'm planning on replacing it to be safe.

Also, does anyone know how to check the soft power connector of the power supply? I can check the regular connectors, but don't have a diagram for the soft power. I just want to make sure the problem's not the power supply itself.
