my buddy brought me a old compaq that had windows millinium on it 800 MHz. AMD Duron,64 megs of ram, he wanted it upgraded to windows xp and more ram put in, i boosted the ram to 256 and xp ran just fine....he wanted a bunch of games takin off....so i did. The upgrade went well, but when i was in add/remove programs and removed a few games......the next start up would not click the monitor on, the computer fires up fine but i get no picture , the monitor just wont click on. I tried checking all connections all the ribbons, i checked the ram,i even put the old ram back in and still notta i pulled the battery out of the motherboard let it sit for 15 min and put it back in, it has no on board video, i pulled the graphics card and all looks well there to.....does anyone have a clue what could of caused this.....better yet i really dont give a hoot what caused it.....does anyone know how i can get the monitor to kick back on? Thx in advance
