open box items from newegg?

Has anyone here ever had any experiences with open box items from newegg? I purchased a "Open Box: Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit 30SB041000000 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card - OEM" last night as was wondering what I should expect.

I would link to the card itself, but it looks like they ran out and took it off the site :S

 

While I haven't purchased open box items from Newegg specifically, I have purchased open box items before, and always to my satisfaction. Just be sure of the return policy and warranties before you purchase, and you should be fine even if the item turns out to be a dud. Just test the item before the return/warranty period expires.

 

yeah they should be fine but it says that it only comes with the specific devide u bought, no manuals or driver disks or anything.

You don't need all that junk with linux

I'm expecting nothing more than the card itself, I hope I got a good deal for it. 26 bux is what I payed for that card, I don't know what the retail value is.

 

Well newegg sent me the wrong thing. I got an audigy ls instead of a sb live, but whatever, it's working flawlessly with alsa on my gentoo box and I'm happy with it so far (I wasn't at first, but since I got hw mixing working I am now ).

 

audigy cards are better than the live ones so u got lucky
