Open password protected .rar files

Is there a way to open password protected .rar files if you have forgotton the password?

Thanx but I think I have lost it, it is a backup of my oe message store that I made recently before I fitted a new hd and formatted protected by a 9 figure lower case and digets password which i made with a password generator I have copied the password down wrong having the same on listed for my addy book and the message store which I know is not correct
