OpenGL and Win7 install

My Screensavers aren't working since I upgraded to Win7.
My laptop is just over a year old.
I got it with Vista downgraded to XP Pro
My screensaver worked great...great smooth images
Problem:
I reformatted and started scratch with Win7 Pro
The display adapters popped in automatically when Win7 was installed.
However, now my screen savers don't work smooth.
I tried to install the drivers from before, but that didn't work. Got a message stating that the installation wasn't compatible with the current version of windows.
The screen saver is an OpenGL screen saver.
I found by internet searching that my card GM965 Mobile Chipset doesn't work with anything higher than OpenGL 1.5

Now how can this be? And how can I get it to work again?

 

Standard Windows drivers are pretty basic (as is the Intel graphics), you'll need to download the correct drivers for your chipset from Intel to make the best of your laptop. You may also like to download DirectX9, it'll help too.
