Basically, I am making a template to send to consultants with a link to our ftp sites.

When I make the link I would like it to open in Windows Explorer but by default it opens with IE, IE 7 does not support FTP access so it's a bit of a pain.

I tried putting backslash ftp:\\ftp.test.com, this will work for anything that isn't running IE7 but with IE7 it still opens. Why doesn't Microsoft do this when it knows it won't work.

Anyone have any cures without changing any settings (I don't want to go into every user and change the settings)

    Thanks for any help.
