opening links with username and password in it

    first off i can open basic links. don't have that problem. the problem i have is IE won't open a link that has the username and password in the link. the window opens and says can't display page, but on my friends PC it would open and put in the username and password and display the page. can anyone help out.

    Hey spman...welcome to MajorGeeks. I'm quite afraid you have posted your question in the wrong forum!! This is the Lounge, you would probably be better served if you opened up a post in the Software forum. Hey, I did the same thing when I was new...it is good to have you onboard. :)

    As for your issue: delete IE's cookies and try the link again.
