opening pages as files

For the last month or so, about 1 out of 10 pages, when I try to open them, a popup comes on saying a file is trying to open, and gives me a choice of what I want to open the file with.
So I take it the browser is trying to open something on the page as a file, and not just open the page. I always hit cancel and the page opens anyway, but can't figure out why this is doing that.
The file always has something to do with whatever website I am going to, so I'm pretty sure it's not something else trying to redirect or whatever.
The one I just got out of said it was trying to open a conversion file. But their not all the same.
    Any thoughts on this?

    Your post needs more information.
Is this while surfing? If so, what version of windows, what service packs and what browser, with the version of the browser.
List at least one site and the popup you see by posting the exact message.
We need to determine if it is a browser problem or malware.

Again what was the site and what conversion - language, file, music?

OK, now it won't do it, tho the pages won't load either. The start to load and then stop. Refreshing on the page, or on the browser won't help it to load, I have to click "new tab" to get the page to load... when it loads.
I'm just going to transfer all favorites to FF and delete the browser. FF seems to not have the problem.
I ran a Avast and Panda and nothing showed up, so I'm presuming the browser is just corrupt.
    Thanks for your help.

ooops, I'll back out right now. I've never heard of the Orca Browser so I would be useless at providing help for it.

Orca is based off of FF, and is put out by the makers of Avant browser.
When I downloaded it, it was really fast and worked great, even tho it was a new browser with a few bugs.
As time went by, either it became corrupted, or some of the fixes they put it really messed it up. It's a shame, cause I really liked it.
