Opera Help

Hi,

I installed windows 10 (had win 7) and now Opera browser opens as a white screen. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Sometimes this will work, but only until I restart the computer (desktop, Dell OptiPlex 780). Now it won't even do that. Chrome and Edge work fine. Opera is my preferred browser and would like to get it back.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks. Tipical of the luck I have.

 

If I right click on the Opera icon, there is a troubleshoot compatibility selection. If I run that, Opera works just fine and even restores the tabs I had up previously. If I restart the computer, I have to do that all over again to get Opera to work. Everything else seems to work just fine. It's real puzzling...

Like Tim, I have been using Opera for many years and never had a problem with it in Windows 10. I suspect there is something on your system causing those problems, not Opera itself.
It could be the issue of poor compatibility with your system and Win 10.

 

I'm pretty sure it's not Opera. It's been installed for over a year now with Windows 7 with no problem. Aftyer I run the trouble shooter, it works fine. Just a pain to have to do that every time I want to open it. I'm not computer savvy enough to know how to fix it.
