Hey, im going to buy a 9800PRO 128mb, and I found one on svideo.com that ships internationaly, and is the cheapest one I can find where im from. The best info I could find about it is here: http://svideo.com/102a07518u.html could people please give me their opinions on this card? I havnt had luck with video cards in the past so I thought it was time I start asking, thanks in advance. :)

After looking at the picture the brand is ATI as far as i can tell. That card is as good as any of the 9800 Pros. The 9800 pro is perfectly capable of handling all the games currently out and should run the newest games, Doom3, Hl2, and Farcry just fine depending on your overall system specs. But for that price you could go for a nvidia 6600gt. The 6600gt will out perform that card, and it is roughly the same price. Its really up to you, both will work great :) . I would recommend the 6600gt personally. It is a newer card and outperforms the 9800 pro by quite a bit. If you decide to get a 6600gt make sure you get the AGP model...the PCI-e model wont fit in your motherboard ;)

    Good Luck!

Yes that looks very nice. It will also outperform the 9800 pro by quite a bit ;) and you will be glad you went with it.

One thing to make sure though when your installing the card. Your gonna have to take a power cord from the power supply and plug it in the back of the card. In case you dont already know. have fun with it! :)

ok, thats just a normal molex connector right? I think I have enough, I got a 420W Thermaltake PSU

If you haven't already purchased the card somewhere, I'd say go to CompUSA, because they have the 6600GT on sale now for $199.99 after a $30.00 mail in rebate

It looks like its Nvidia to me. And 420 wats is enough. Ive got a 420 watt Off-brand PSU and it runs my 6800gt great.

Ok, Im going to buy this for sure, and kop, the shipping charges for that card will end up being darer than the one on the link I posted, but thanks for the help. one more question, will there be a bottleneck in my system, because Ive got: AMD 2600+ Barton (1.9Ghz) | 512mb DDR400 Kingmax ram | Soltek SL-75FRN2-L Mother Board | 40gb 5400RPM Samsung HDD :( And could someone predict what I would get in 3Dmark03/05?

Ordinarily, my guess would be about 7000 in 03......I think......But I note that you are using a 5400 HDD and this could impact the final result.

As regards bottleneck my thoughts would yes but not major. As per my dets I am running a 6800 n/u and my cpu is definetly holding me back but having said that game play is very good so I don't let it bother me.

Good Luck and the 6600GT was a much better choice too IMO.
