Opinions on VGA

A friend of mine wants to upgrade his graphics card and asked my opinion. Unfortunately I didn't know what kind of connection his mo/bo supports (AGP, PCI) so I turn here. He told me the mo/bo is a MSI Atx Socket 478 Neo-2-v (865PE) 800 Mhz S+L. He is looking for a card with 256 Mb memory, probably a Geforce 7 series. So, I'm waiting for input.

Not all of those video cards will work!
I'd expect a large portion of those are PCIe cards, which this motherboard does not support.

There are some good video cards at Newegg that fit the bill.

according to this it is AGP
So the 7800GT is about as far as you can go (with Nvidia)


try googling or searching for AGP on any sites where you normally shop etc
