Custom built PC p4 3ghz 800FSB clocked at 3.6ghz with 120mm fan in front and 120mm fan in rear no room for more fans...peak heat i seen the cpu get at was 64c at 50% useage,is that too hot? And check the score in PCMARK04 is it good for my PC being clocked that high? w/o being over clocked i got a score of 4443 peak heat of 57c...Over clocked i got 5235 and 64c peak...

64C is typical for Pentiums and their notorius heat problems... Upgrading your HSF will lower the temp drastically, depending on what you buy.

 

i apreciate your responce,i currently have a cool master Heatpipe set up with 4 heatpipes and a 90mm fan,what is your opinion on that?i am still at 3.6ghz and have been gaming for the past 5 hours and i have been recording the the temperature im averageing 64c and as soon as i exit it dropes down to 48c real quick...if i continue at this rate is it ok?Even when im at stock speeds(3ghz) my temp gets up to 60c in games...Think i will be ok?I've talked to ACE AND HE SAYS 60C is where i would want to be for max TEMP. i honestly believe that i should keep it below 60,but any opinions on this subject is good,im all ears..

 

Your initial post (pic) is not readable. So, I can't determine if what you have is good enough.

Though, on a side note, what are your using this machine for?

64c for a cpu is normal, either it be AMD or INTEL.

I really don't personally care about cooling issues. Unless you are overclocking your system.

But, if you are overclocking, you need to overclock the following: CPU, Memory, Video. Otherwise, one of those will cause you a bottleneck.

 

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY...i have a p4 3.06@ 3.6Ghz 1.5500voltage..... DDR is at 3:4 196mgz 2.5-3-3-8 1.85 voltage....6600GT 555(core)1.1Ghz(mem)1.7 voltage.....agp.pci is set on 66.67/33.33,and FSB is set to 245....
and my PCMARK04 scores were as follows....
stock speeds system 4443.....cpu 4653....memory 5019....Graphics 3855...HDD 3652...

AND OVER CLOCKED system 5235....cpu 5548....memory 3897....HDD 3647

And im using the system for 50% gamin 50% video editing
