Opt 170 Vs X2 4200

Does anyone know the CORE diffrences / performance diff in these two? theyre only 10$ diff but one is 200mhz slower, but has 2mb L2 instead of 1.

 

the differences are just that, speed and cache - although if you overclock - definitly go with the opteron 170 (which once i get the money, is what i'm going to do cause its time for an upgrade). the 170 has reports of people gettin at least 2.2(the 4400 x2 i think because of the cache) on air cooling, up to 2.6. either one is a nice choice tho'

I already ordered the opt 170 waiting for it coming monday. I heard if your lucky the opt 170 will oc very high (by 600-800mhz). Already bought an Arctic Freezer 64 for it
