Opt out of Behavioral Advertising

    I've got Ghostery addon which works quite well for that sorta things in FF, PM and Chrome browsers and had almost all covered when I submitted the test.

    I've been using the hosts file to block advertising almost completely. It doesn't allow my computer to communicate with the ad servers so the space is either ignored and left blank or the space posts a message that the server could not be found. By blocking the server completely, they don't even know I exist so no stats are collected at all. Of course this doesn't block the search engines from collecting stats on the things I search for.

    It might be a little over kill but my hosts file has over 16,000 entries. I still get an occasional ad but not very many. When I find a site that has ads on it, if I have the time, I look at the source of the site and add their ad servers to my host file.
