Hello again, my computer has an optical drive problem, whenever i try to install a game, it will try for a few seconds to read it, but then gives up. My computer model is a Compaq Presario SR1630NX and my father is thinking about putting his Optical Drive (from his Compaq Presario SR1750NX) into my computer.
Is this a very complicated procedure?
Where do we find the drivers and how do we install them?

    Hi

No its not a difficult proceedure at all, basically take from one PC and pop in the other and connect the IDE ribbon and power cable up and boot then PC, the drivers are loaded by Windows.

But what you could try just before doing this is to delete the upper and lower filters as these can cause issues with reading/writing to disk on your PC. To do this follow this info HERE or HERE

Also tell us your Windows version and Service Pack.
