optical mouse problem

ok, my new mouse is giving me problems. every so often when im using it, the cursor will jump to the bottom left corner of the screen by the start button. im not sure, but i think it might be the mouse pad, but im not sure. im sure you guys have the answer though.

 

Go into your control panel and lower your mouse pointer speed a little until it stops jumping. That fixed it for me.

 

i changed mouse pads, that fixed it.
