ordinalen 56 problem PLZ help

hello i have a problem

it started as a iertutil.dll problem where there wasent eny icons on desktop,

i have them back now, but now i realy often get the message (in danish so i try to translate hope you get the meaning )

"Ordinalen 56 wasen found in the dll librery iertutil.dll"

and as a result i can´t open several programs

like

system mechanic (that might have fixed it)
MSN
media player
Internet Exploror (so now i cant use netbank)


please help.

 

in the beginnig when i had the problem where there were no ikons i tried and downloadet the dll file (from the link)

and then the icons come on but i couldent use meny of them
it said the thing about the ordinalen 56.

but i did as you said.

and it seem to have worked EXELENT !!!!!! :cool

i ran it twice yesterday. and after running it two times i tried IE and i could open it
but it dident work so i thought that it might need a restart. so i shot it down
and went to bed,

and now after i come home from work. i turn it on and it is slow.
and when i press Opera or IE or enything nothing worked

so i regretteed it. so i thought it might need some time to think i went to bath. and came op again. and ewery thing was on. and worked.


so thank you wery mush. you saved me from alot of trouble. ( i was thinking to reinstall Windows XP )

i ran Spybot S & D yesterday and it made something wrong.
i reinstalled it to fix but it still dident work.

i also ran system meckanic.

now i get the message,
"Ordinalen 14 wasent found in the DLL- librery iertutil.dll"

or maybe it is becource i installed IE 7 again.

why want it work ?

i have/am traing to sfc /scannow.

but aperently it continue to ask for win xp cd.
(it is in the drive)

i will continue to try and hope it work.

 

i just see that it is in Xfire that want start becource of the dll. or ordinalen error.

and when i tried sfc /scannow

the second time i got a bluescreen and a shotdown rolleyes

 

and now when i clik on Ie7 all that happens is i gat a shortcut for it on desktop, every time i try

i have tried reinstalling xfire. but still didt realy work.

 

plz help

and i cant hear sound on Winamp. or media player.

 

mmmm....... i just uninstalled IE7 and now it works again. ????
