I've just had the lucky chance to plug an Origo asr8400 4 port router into my home network... but it doesn't work. I wasn't given any of the drivers I needed, so it's woking off a generic microsoft one. This seems to allow it to operate the intranet, but it doesn't let me configure the router to log onto the internet. I downloaded a driver from Origo, but I think this was for the USB version. Anyway, XP claimed it couldn't find a better match for the driver than it's own generic one, which I don't believe for a second. I'm running out of ideas. Short of turning my computer into a server for all the rest and using it's silly little modem (which presents its own set of static-IP related issues), I don't know what to do.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated, becuase teh device-specific forum is down at the mo.

    Cheers!

This is actually a dsl modem with a USB connection and a 4 port router built in. Are you actually using this as a dsl modem and router or just as a router? If just a router what type of connection are you making to the internet?
