I recently used another computer to reformat a separate HD (XP Pro), which went successfully. The problem was, when I took out that extra HD, leaving only the original HD (XP Home) in the computer... it still showed two OS options: XP Pro and XP Home. Although it shows the XP Pro option, if I try to boot from it, it obvious can't since there in no HD containing it on there. I can still boot from the XP Home with no problems though.

If that was confusing, I'm asking how do I remove the invalid XP Pro OS option?

My Computer -> Properties, Advanced Tab and click Startup and Recovery. In the System Start Up section Click the Edit button. Here you can easily edit the boot.ini and take out the XP Pro line.
