os problems

Hey guys i did a pretty bad thing, i updated from windows 98se to win 2k, due to he fact my network drivers were screwed up. I FIGURED THE UPDATE WOULD BE SMOOTH, but it dint turn out to be.

The os did install perfectly there are gaps for instance my norton av cannot be reomeved or reinstalled.

When u type msconfig in the run box it displays the file cannot be found

Im at a point where i cant go back to 98 so i have to fix these issues. If you have any solutions they will be gladly accepted

msconfig isn't in Win2k. At all. Doesn't exist. Shouldn't be there. You google for the WInXP version. I've seen it out there. It works, but it isn't supported.

Antivirus problems would be an expected danger, IMO. 98 --> 2k is a major OS change. I'd try physically deleting the directories manually, and then running registry cleaners before you install it again.
