Trying to figure out a repair order. The whole deal was fishy & I'm getting my ducks in a row...

When I went to pick up the computer the repair ticket said OS issue Needs Destructive AD & R ... Then they opened up the computer & the HD was missing - all I got was I'll have to talk to my manager, I don't know what to say.

Isn't the OS on the Hard Drive? Wouldn't they have known that the hard drive wasn't there before I came to see what was up. It also passed a virus check when it was left.

    TIA. I'm no repair person.

I'm sorry I'm not trying to be rude but this makes absolutely no sense.

You aren't being rude- That is what it says on the ticket & I'm completely confused. I know OS is operating system.

Then it says ran FACE off *virtual drive*

I found out FACE is a virus program.

    Thanks for the reply!

If they did the basic tests such as Everest the would have seen that the OS was missing plus without the hard drive how did they boot it?????

Yuno, it sounds like they stuck your HDD in a docking bay, forgot to put it back and have lost it ......:confused
