other drivers all have ?

e-machines T3418. My PC was running slow, so I put my emachine disk in the CD drive and restored my software, but not lose my data. Well, now I cannot get the inernet on my PC, my laptop works fine. I discovered that my "other drivers" all have ???. I tried to restore them from my emachine disk, but that did not work Next I tried to download "winsock xp fix", I guess that fixed my laptop (that was not broken), but I could not copy to dvd-rw to try it on my PC. If I can't get on the internet on my PC, how can I download the fix?:confused

Install the chipset drivers first, they also include the ethernet drivers, SMBus drivers, and others. Be sure to restart the PC after installing each driver, even if you're not prompted to. Obviously, you'll need to download the drivers on your laptop and burn them to a CD or copy them to a USB flash drive or external drive in order to install them on the PC. Let us know how it goes!
