I am having a problem whenever I try to start an old 1996 (Viacom) game called Deathdrome. The sound works fine but the graphics won't start... instead I get a "out of frequency range" error.

I have tried running the game in safe mode. The graphics show but there is no sound. I tried setting the compatibility to Win95, Win98, etc. I have looked for a solution to this problem in a number of places and nothing works.

    System Specs:
    Dell Deminsion 3000
    2.4 GHz Intel Celeron D
    512 MB of RAM
    WinXP Home w/SP1

    Graphics
    Intel 865G Graphics Controller
    Intel Extreme graphics 2
    Dell 17" CRT Monitor

    Antivirus/spyware/firwalls
    Spybot S&D (Teatimer.exe is running)
    ZoneAlarm Firwall
    Norton AV Corp. Edition

    Any help would be great.

Out of freq is usually a resolution issue. Try changing your desktop res to 640x480 and starting the game.
