    Hi,

With my PC switched off, if I turn my monitor on I get a 'no signal' message.

Yesterday, my PC crashed, upon reboot it did the normal hard disc scan and then at the point where the Windows XP login is displayed, my screen went black and the message 'Out of range' is displayed.

Before I start to mess around in trying to resolve this, does anyone have any suggestions?

I was thinking of taking my graphics card out and putting it back in or using the manufacturers recovery disc to fix any display driver issues.

Am I on the right track to fix this?????

    Thanks

Yes, you are on the right track as it appears that your video driver has been corrupted. The symptom that you mentioned with the monitor displaying " no signal " is normal if the computer isn't on. Were you playing games when it crashed?

You might try booting in "safe mode" and see if there is an option to enable VGA mode in the Settings under Display. If there is, check it and reboot normally, and you should be able to reinstall your display driver.:)
