Having an issue with "Out of system resources".

I am running Win XP, I have 4 G of ram, and 85 G of free space on the drive.

This happens when I am downloading newsgroup headers, not actual files, just the headers on large groups.

It happens with different news programs, three to be exact.

I have tried increasing the swapfile, turning off a lot of loaded processes, but to no avail.

All of the news programs stop and give me the message, none make it past 50%.

No, the readers are "self contained", so to speak.

I have tried Grabit, Agent, and Xnews, with the same results.

When I do the search on this problem, most of the answers concern Outlook, so I guess that is why you ask.

I use Thunderbird for my mail.

    Just an FYI

I think the problem is solved.

I changed the port from 119 to an another port. Downloaded without a problem.

I'm thinking my ISP is throttling port 119
