Outhost Hijack Cleanup

    Hi,

    I was recently hijacked by the "outhost" hijacker, but managed to repair my browser using the "repair installation" feature on the Windows XP CD. However, I heard that this hijack leaves traces behind and I also believe there is more spyware on my computer. Can someone please take a look at my Hijack This log and let me know when and where I should post it and what I should fix?

    Before we look at HijackThis logs, you must first please follow all the steps in this Sticky thread < READ ME FIRST: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal >

    If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

    NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the directions in the "READ THIS FIRST" sticky thread. I followed all the directions to the letter and believe my machine is clean, however, I would like one of you guys to check out a hijack this log to see if everything is ok. Please let me know where and when to post it.

    Did the scan find things? If so, what kind of stuff?
    Was there anything found that was not fixed by the scans?

    Are you actually having any problems at all?

    Actually...Everything seems to be working fine now...I would like to thank you for all your help! I didn't think I'd EVER be able to get back up and running!!
