Outlook 2000 - Calendar

Hi,

I have been having this message "Unable to update free/busy calendar"
i have tried various things to resolve this...
deleted and recreated the profile....
scanned all pst files,
It only happens when a change is made to the calendar and outlook is closed.
I have checked the calendar settings and input the server name in the option to update to...
How should the server mane be entered
\\servername or just
servername.
I've even created another profile....but the same thing happens...

note that WindowsXP Sp1 has this fix implemented in it. I don't know what OS you're using so..Im just guessing here. The more information you provide about your environment,the better.

I'm running Windows 2000 with office 2000 suite...and all service packs....updates are the latest....

So not sure what else to try,

is the error immediate or does it take a while for it to show up?
I'm no exchange expert or anything, but if I remember correctly, there is a time out config that you can set for the free/busy calanendar.. you might want to try increasing it? as for the server name.. you don't need the \\ just the name of the server.

What happens is the error occurs only when outlook is closed down the the error occurs twice.....so if no changes are made to the calendar ...then no errors....but if changes are made we only get the message when we exit outlook.

so the publish works normally when Outlook is running?
I know that by default, outlook will look for events to run before closing.. i wonder if there is a way to disable that..
