    What can cause "green text" in replies to emails sent from Outlook 2000?

    Occasionally, someone will reply to an email my wife sends, and part of my original message will be in light green text on a white background, almost unreadable. She has occasional complaints from people that text received in emails from her is "green".

    She uses Microsoft Word as her email editor, and she configured Outlook to "send all emails as plain text", but it appears that it doesn't always do that. I did a "View Source" on the problem email, and got the typical message filled with HTML bloat.

    I've viewed the source of the outgoing message, and it listed "emailstyle16" as the style for the text, and that shows up fine (black on white) on her system. In the reply she got back, the same text was now in style "emailstyle15" which appears green over white.

    The fragment of the style sheet that applies is:

    span.emailstyle15
    {mso-style-name:emailstyle15;}

    Notice there is no complete definition of the font, color, etc. It appears to be asking Outloook to use some default emailstyle15, whatever that is.

    Today I told her to stop using Word as her email editor, but will that solve the problem? Any help?
