Outlook 2000

I am using XP, Outlook 2000. On start up it cannot find one of my .pst files, i cancel out and it is OK. Every day the program says it has an error and must close. When I close it, it seems the envelope stays on the task bar and I can hear the tone that I have received an email. I also get the time in military format and other various errors. Is there a fix (I have run Trend Micro, Spybot, combofix and cleanup) ? If I have to uninstall and install, what procedure do I use to keep my emails and folders on re-install? Thanks.

 

you need to export you pst files and save them to 2 locations then if you try the uninstall and reinstall you can import the pst file which hold all your information back to the new install of outlook.

Thanks. My problem persists and I cannot seem to be able to uninstall Outlook 2000. It is not listed in the control panel/add/remove programs. I have tried to repair it, no luck. I just want to uninstall Outlook and re-install. Thanks.

read through this and see if you can use the same method. This article refers to win 98 and 2k but add and remove hasn't changed much in windows in years so you may be able to use the same method
