Needing help with Outlook 2003 archiving processes.
We have an archive data file that is full (wont accept anymore data), and that archived data (back several years) has also been left on the main data file.

    I guess the questions are...

    1. How to auto-archive (prior to a certain number of months back) the main data file (mailbox.pst, with email, calendar, etc) to the archive data file (archive.pst) AND also have that archived data deleted from the main mailbox.pst file ? Of course at this point we already have the archive data file and need to somehow delete that left-over data from the main data file.

    2. Then will it work to rename/save (like rename the old archive.pst to archive1.pst) an archive.pst file (when it becomes full and wont accept any more archiving), and create a new archive.pst which will keep archiving subsequent data (for example older than 5yrs) from the current main mailbox.pst file (Calendar, Deleted Items, etc) ?
We are assuming all history (archive1.pst etc) would then be saved and accessible from the 'Folder List' (with 'archive1' folder etc) while further reducing (with archiving to the new archive.pst) the size of mailbox.pst and maybe help the old Outlook work a bit faster.

    Thoughts ?
    Thank you !
