I don't have 2003, and 2007 is radically different, so...

My mom lost some contact info a while back. Well its stuck in Outlook "history".

For instance, as you start typing in the To: box it lists previous email addresses and contacts.

Where is this information stored, and/or how can it be retained? There are a lot of contacts, so doing them one at a time isn't really feasible.

Should be in Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook - they are in the .nk2 files. Does she need them to be full Contacts, or to move them to another PC?

Copying the nk2 files to that location on another PC should make them accessible there, if needed.

If she wants the info out of them, there is a possible way for Vista, but unsure of for other OS's. http://www.desktopsidebar.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4929

If nothing else, this should help is locating them, and making a copy to try some things on.

    Hope it helps

Thanks, I'll check that out. She wants access just to add them to her contacts again.

    Thanks.

I ended up using the program at http://nk2.info. Made it stupidly easy.
