I have two users who are having some problems. User 1 is trying to attach files to an email inside Outlook 2003 (Windows XP - All Updated). He will navigate to the files, which will either be on his local machine or a network share, and sometime he can add one, two, maybe three, items before he gets this message.

A restart will sometimes allow him to add a few more, but then he always gets this message. Regular emails without attachments work just fine. He'll frequently get a bubble pop up saying Outlook has lost connection with the server and that outlook has restored connection to the server. I open up Event Viewer and he has pairs of events that say Outlook Lost and then Reestablished connection at the exact same time down to the second. Like this.

User two is also have problems like this. He cannot send any emails while on our network. He can't attach items, can't send, nothing. If he moves a email to a folder, it stays in his inbox but it also appears in that folder. If he tries to move it again, or delete it. Outlook says the message cannot found. All his outgoing emails would get stuck in the outbox. This user went home and opened up outlook on his laptop and connected through our outlook anywhere proxy. He was able to send the messages, but they still show up in his outbox.

Email works just fine, coming and going, for both users on their phones. So I'm thinking it's something to do with their local machines.

We recently moved the entire company over from an old Exchange server 2003, to a new 2010 server. Everyone's email, including theirs, was working just fine until randomly this morning.

I think that's about everything. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you so much!

Now it seems to be happening with everyone, regardless of Office version. Any time someone tries to attach a file, outlook disconnects from the server, and then reconnects. When attaching another file, or trying to send with an attachment, everyone gets the error: Changes made to the item were lost due to a reconnect with the server.

When we try to send, we get the message bellow.

Thanks, but its not a matter of working in offline mode. This is wide spread problem that is affecting our exchange server. For some reason our load balancer wasn't distributing our connections to all the email servers. A single server was handling everything and was getting overloaded. We have it sorted out now and now our max load any any given server is 30%.

So, you added servers? Just curious, how many users do you have?
