Does anyone else use Outlook 2003 with an exchange server?

I have mine configured to use the exchange server at my place of work and find it's a resource hungry beast.

My PC often runs at 100% when it's synchronising itself with the server and slows the rest of the system down.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips for making it more efficient or if it's genrally a system hog?

It can depend on whether the service to do the synchronsing is et to a high priority or not. If it is then it will take precedence over other tasks.

Where can I check and change this?

Assuming you are using XP just right click on the taskbar and then select Task Manager. Right click on the task you want to check then select set priority. You will then see what the priority is set to and you can change it up or down as you require.
