Hey major geeks. I have a question about Outlook 2003 for you experts. I haven't used Outlook since version 2000. I was wondering if there is a way to clear completed tasks from Outlook Today's task view? I have lots of tasks and seeing the completed ones crossed out just seems like a massive waste of space. I don't know the nuances of Outlook as of yet, so any other tips you guy might have for me would be greatly appreciated!

Also, if anyone knows how I can transfter my messages from say Mozilla Thunderbird that would be a great help! I tried importing from Eudora in Outlook (since Tbird uses Eudora's .mbx format), but no luck. Again, thanks for any replies.

I'm sure there is a better way to import mail from Thunderbird to Outlook, but I haven'y found one (haven't really looked). What I do is import Thunderbird mail to Eudora, then import Eudora mail to Outlook.

hold the left shift key and use your left mouse button to select all the task entries that you want to delete. Then right click on any of the boxes to the left of the task subject and hit delete on the menu. Or if you want to get rid of all of them, click on the task subject of any task and then hit CTRL + A to select all and then delete them.

I use Outlook 2002, so I'm not familiar with the layout of Outlook 2003. If you customize your Outlook Today, one work around is to select "Today's Tasks" unless there are more options in the newer version. Another method is to archive the completed tasks, that way you can still keep these for record keeping, e.g., for accomplishments for the past year.

yeah i tried 'today's tasks' and but the thing is i'd like to see more than 1 day's worth of tasks. i always thought there was a way to hide completed tasks in the older outlook versions, without deleting them that is. looks like the delete key is gonna be my solution in this. thanks guys
