Outlook 2k3 not sending mail to SBCGlobal

Hi, all! I have a user that has his Outlook 2k3 config'd for his SBC Global email account. Been working fine sending and receiving until today, now he can't send. There are -NO- errors occurring in the Send/Receive process; the message acts like everything is fine. The "test connection" in the account configuration tests fine, with no connection errors. Whether creating a new message or replying to a received message, the message just drops into the Outbox and goes nowhere. Configuration looks fine; correct smtp and pop servers and account names. Receiving mail just fine.

What has me baffled is that Outlook is acting as if there's nothing in the Outbox at all: no error messages of any kind!

Have you removed and recreated the account in outlook? First step.

 

No, I haven't. I was saving that as the last step.

 

Why? thats an easy first step? you dont loose any mail? Why?
