Outlook and AIM problems

using winxp. my kids use aim. I'd swear this problem is connected to aim. sometimes when I open outlook express, my incoming mail goes to their e-mail accts. sometimes mail that has been opened and left in my inbox also goes to their acct. I use a password for my mail acct, but we are all set up as 1 user for win. like to allow them to keep aim and their e-mail. but I've got to keep my mail away from their eyes. i'm a novice, so I'll read slowly. thanx for the help.

 

Hi and welcome , Have you got any message rules set up ? I know there is a setting that will allow your emails to be sent to others accts.

h.v., I have no message rules set up. if anything, I may want to figure out how to set up a rule that says do not forward my mail ever.

xflat, we all use OE, with myself as the "identity to use when starting program" and "ident to use when program cannot ask you to choose an identity." there are 2 kids that use aim, 2 adults who don't. we use IE as our browser. the 2 adults e-mail can get sent to 1 of the kids' @ any time unexplained. when this happens, we then can't log onto "our own" e-mail acct. we need to reboot .

I'll try to explain again, even I'm confused. I'll log onto OE w my password, my son's acct will open. my mail will be in there along w his, my contacts w his, etc....

I'm using a Presario 2.08 ghz amd, 512 mb ddr sdram, NAV 2003
