Well I've got myself stuck on this one.
About 2 years ago I found a way to make Outlook automatically send/recieve. I do NOT have to click send/receive it just does it it minute or so. I know want to turn it off and can't remember what Idid to turn it on.

I remember it wasn't a 'normal' setting. I had to type in some code to do it, but can't remember where I typed it.

    Anybody have any ideas?

Hi, try going to TOOLS then OPTIONS. you should find a tick box which automatically sends your emails. Deselect this box, click APPLY and then CLOSE. This should do it for you

Frodo, I couldn't find that tick box in my Outlook 2000. I went to TOOLS and OPTIONS and then through all the tabs. What version of Outlook does your reply refer to. Would like to set up mine with this option if possible. Baz

Either it's in Outlook XP or 2003. Under Tools I see a Send/Receive but not in Options. I used to have the XP version, but went back to Outlook 2000. I remember seeing something like that in XP.

Thanks Ken3, I can't find it in Outlook 2000. Let me know if you find it, please. Bazza

If you're using XP Office Pro just go to Tools - Options - Mail Setup. The second option down is for Send/Receive - just check the box that says Send immediately when connected - and then click on the Send/Receive button to the right in the same section. Once open make sure there is a check mark next to where is says - When Outlook is Online - Include this group in send/receive and the same for where it says when Outlook is offline.

Sorry, I should have pointed out that I am using W98SE and Office 2000, with Outlook 2000 being part of that suité. Baz
