Over the past couple weeks we have started having an intermittent issue when trying to send emails from Outlook 2003. We are getting a 0x0800ccc0f error, "connection to the server interrupted" and certain emails will not leave the outbox. So far all the ones that have gotten stuck are replies, but not to the same addresses. Initially, I thought it was only emails with attachments, but we had one this morning that was text only. If the reply and attachments are copied from the stuck reply email into a new email they go out as expected. Receiving emails works as expected.

We have a mixed bag of Win7/XP machines, using Outlook 2003 with SP3 and Norton NIS or 360. MS updates are up to date. Email is hosted by GoDaddy, I have spoken to them to no avail. I have tried turning off Norton, increasing the timeout in Outlook, running the Outlook Inbox repair tool(which didn't seem likely since this has happen on multiple machines). Similar threads on this forum and on the internet in general seem to be very old. Any help would be appreciated.

From what you say I doubt this is an Outlook problem. Sounds more like your router's connection to the internet is intermittently dropping and just happens to catch you when trying to send. I would keep an eye on your router status lights while using the net, particularly ADSL and Internet lights
