Can anyone recommend a good free backup program for Outlook Express?

    Thanks in advance!

I just had to do this Friday before I reformatted. I dont know if this will help you much, but it worked great for me.

Create a folder on your desktop, export your address book/etc from outlook to the folder. Then create a new folder in your outlook and move all the mail that your wanting to back up into that folder. I then browsed out my .DBX files (or folders) that I wanted to backup and simply WinRaR'd a copy into that folder.

    Look in:
    C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{YourIdentity#}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

To access the above through outlook at a later date, just reverse the steps above and whalah! :p

I had a huge amount of inbounds with attachments that I needed to archive, so after following those steps, I then RaR'd the folder on my desktop and burned it off to a CD for safe keeping.
