outlook express email recovery software

hello good day it's me again.

my email (outlook express) had crashed and when i restarted, my inbox got corrupted. when i restarted, all the emails stored in my inbox were gone, however, when i looked at in the folder where i stored my email folder it still has a file of 1.99G but it can't be accessible anymore. are there any software that could fix a .dbx file extension? any helps is highly appreciated. thanks, mighty.

 

Just FYI, .PSTs have an issue on older versions of Outlook where they corrupt at 3GB. I haven't really looked into any issues with Express's DB..

To Foogoo: I know tat FYI is for your information and DB I assume is database but what is PST please?

To mighty_m3aty: Do you have only one inbox.dbx in your Identity folder? If you have an inbox named something like inbox(1).dbx as well as inbox.dbx, it may be possible to import the messages to the new (inbox(1).dbx) inbox using tools available in Outlook Express.

Are you saying that the inbox.dbf is 1.99Gig or the entire Identity folder or someting else?

 

hi chookers. thanks for your prompt reply. to answer your questions, yes i only have inbox.dbx in my inbox and has 1.99gb files in it. the total files of my email folder is 7.9gb this includes all the folders and sub folders. it is only my inbox folder got corrupted and the others are still accessible. what i did earlier was i transfered the old inbox.dbx in different location so this can be replaced with a new one to start working so i can download emails. i didn't delete the corrupted inbox.dbx as i wanted to try to save the contents as much as i could. i wish you could help solve my problems as there are lots of important documents in it. thanks.
