Outlook Express Folder Repair Tools - any comparative reviews or recommendations?

I have found a number of software tools for sale, that allow you to extract messages from damaged Outlook Express folders (i.e., .dbx files). I have yet to find any comparative reviews of products on the market (including those downloadable from MajorGeeks).

I would like to find an objective review or two, or at least get feedback from users of these tools; what strengths & weaknesses do you like / not like?

I am an advanced user & net admin, and would like to find a tool with good "user controls", such as selection & repair of individual .dbx folders - even those located on other folders / drives. One package I looked at seems to access only the current logged-in user's identity, and not distributed (or recovered) folders elsewhere on the system.

I don't mind paying good money for a good tool, but before shelling out $35 - $80 for a download, I would very much appreciate "real world" recommendations from advanced users.
