We have just discovered that Microsoft Outlook Express has disappeared. There was a shortcut on the desktop and it is gone. It is also gone from the programs list. My husband has his netzero account automatically entered into that program. He can still get the mail directly from netzero but we are wondering where Express went.
Would System Restore bring it back? Maybe??
    Thanks

    Go here>
    C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\
Find 'msimn.exe' & click it. It should open Outlook. If it does make a shortcut & put it where you need it.

Thanks for the reply. This is the message I got:

c:\\programfiles\outlookexpress refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted or that you are connected to the internet or your network and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information may have been moved to a different location.

The computer is on a network and things seem to be working fine. I don't know what disk it is refering too. We are connected to the internet.
I went to Windows Explorer and it does show up under Program files but the msimm.exe is not listed.

I'm open to suggestions. Thanks again for taking time to reply.

Not familiar with netzero but after a quick look Outlook Express should still be there ready to use.

What operating system do you have?

Seeing as the file is missing you could try reinstalling/repairing Outlook Express.

Thanks for the suggestions. Actually, this morning I did a start-search-files & folders and came up with 6 or 7 files. So I started double clicking on them and found it. Got it back on to the desktop and it seems to be working fine. All the files were still there. That is weird, I have never had something just magically disappear like that but I have heard of it happening to others.
Hope the weather is treating you well is Melbourne. It is sunny and warm in Southern California. Appreciate the help :) DYP
