Outlook Express not responding

Using Windows XP. 5 of us share computer. One attempted to create an identity in outlook express (unsuccessfully!) and now OE freezes when opened on that person's identity. I tried to restore the computer to yesterday, but it didn't fix the OE issue. Any ideas? Thank you :cry

 

Try removing the identity that is causing the issue.
File > Identities > Manage Identities > Remove

When any Windows files become corrupted, I find that going to start, run, and typing in
sfc /scannow
is a good way to start, as it will replace corrupted protected files.

You probably will not be able to compact the folders since you can not open OE. Just run what you can.

Looking for the easiest option, I ended up deleting that person's identity in regedit. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/873021/en-us -- back up & running! Thanks for all your help
