I am running Windows XP Pro and using Outlook Express. I have had troubles since day one with my Outlook Express in the fact that if I get an email where someone attached an email or a couple of pix it locks up when i double click to open it or try to forward the message to someone else, which resulkts in me having to close the program and open up again. I NEVER had this problem while using it with 2000 Pro. Anyone have any suggestions or help other than telling me to switch to outlook??? Thanx

Yes and Yes. Disabled everything but my defender firewall and it still did it. This machine is faster and has more memory than the one I had 2k Pro on and I never had an issue opening emails up. In fact I forward them to my 2k pro (when I can) to open them up. Its jsut frustrating. There has to be a setting somewhere I can change to make this work right!!!?? Thanx

I assume, you have the option to allow attachments to be open within oe?

I.E. within OE, Tools, options, Security Tab, "Do not allow attachments....." is this checked or unchecked?
