I have a question, about outlook express, a friend of mine who uses it one day lost power on his computer when he turned it back on all addresses in his address book were missing in outlook express. Is there anything he can do to find them on his computer maybe a back up or is there somewhere he can go to find them. I wasn't sure if they were saved or backed up on the PC anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Do a search for *.wab when ( if ) you locate that file/s double click on them to see if that is your current address book, make a note ( highlight & copy the address line ) of the location of the .wab

then open OE and click File > Import > Address Book > paste the location into the File Name box and click Open > Ok

Btw... its alwasy useful to add what OS is being used as some steps can be different per OS.

I hope you find your OE addresses as per Halo.:)

A thing I do every time before I burn to CD is:

    1.
Go into Addresses in OE and export them to a folder in MyDocs/(or folder of your choice).
You have to save this one so I usually save date_OEAddresses. You can choose whatever you want to save as.
That way you have them even if they disappear from OE.

    2.
Export my favorites (you can specify where you want them to go).
In your browser (I use IE) go to File (pulldown menu) Import/Export, and a Wizard comes up.
Just highlight Export Favorites, click next, in Export Favorites Destination you can browse where you want to put them (I use MyDocs) click next, then click Finish, and that's it.

You could also save them to floppies (from the file/folder you have saved them in), if you want to save them more often.
