Outlook Express-Send and Receive

    Hello,
    Since downloading the Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer for Windows XP (KB896727). Whenever I click send and receive in Outlook Express, the progress window flashes down to the taskbar. It used to stay on top and showed the progress of the emails being downloaded. I've deleted the identity and created a new one and it still drops down to the taskbar. Does anyone know what has caused this and can it be corrected?
    I'm running Windows XP Home
    Pentium 4, 2.60GHz
    504 MB Ram
