Outlook Express Stuck

I use Outlook Express to send and receive email through my hosting company's mail server, connecting via IMAP. I have multiple email boxes configured and and OE is set to check for new mail every minute. After a little while, maybe 20 minutes or so, OE gets stuck and I have to open up the details box and click Stop in order to send mail or get it to continue checking for new mail. I have searched far and wide for an answer on why this is happening and how to fix it with no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

 

Possibly server side limit to the number of times the email server can be a accessed in, say, a given hour? A lot of servers have hard limits on that. Maybe try changing to every 5 minutes, or 3 minutes, or even 2 minutes, and see if the problem continues?
