    Hi Geeks:
I am trying to send an email to a group of people via OE and I get a message that says message can't be sent because of too many recipients.
My question is what is the maximum number of recipients I can send to.
I called Microsoft and they were hopeless - They did not want to answer questions because I bought the PC from Dell. I called Dell and they said PC is out of warranty (PC it's less than 3 years old.). I explained to them that my question had nothing to do with the PC. They said I need to pay for support on software. Finally I gave up on them.
    Please advise
    Best Regards
    Alfred

To my knowledge there is no maximum through the actual program. However your ISP or mail server (gmail, yahoo, etc.) may have a set limit and this is likely why you are getting the message you are. Some will set a limit per message and some will set a limit per 24 hour period.

I usually break my mailing lists into about 50 recipients and they work OK. Anymore and I get the same message. Too many recipients.

Pretty sure that you are being hit by a limitation from your ISP or mail server. I have one contact list for a graphics group that sends to 376 (+ or -) addys at a time and it sends with no problem.

There is no limit, otherwise Outlook would prohibit you from entering any more addresses, so as Abby rightly said, it's your mail provider/ISP.

Please note my ISP provider is Microsoft (MSN) and to be clear I use Micosoft Outlook Express (not Outlook)
    Please advise my next step!
    Thanks

I use Outlook Express which is what I was answering to as you said OE not Outlook. Most likely MSN has a cap on recipients.
