Outlook express

I have a very large picture file in my outbox of Outlook Express. I have tried just about everything I can think of but it will not move. Please help,

Im guessing you are trying to send this photo to someone else ?

Just how large is it ?

 

My email isn't working properly becasue of this. Is there anyone who has any idea of what I can do to remove it. I cannot drag it to the delete file. I cannot right click and delete it. I've talked to so many people and Att helpers and we cannot get the file to move.........any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Actually I was sending it to myself

 

Depending on the speed of your internet connection, you may just have to play the waiting game to send it. Also, keep message size restrictions in mind. Even if you don't have one, your recipient might!

Our company, for example, caps email messages at 10 MB. We can't send/receive anything larger. Maybe your email service provider has something similar!

It might be easier for you to post the file to an FTP site, and let your recipients download it from there.

I was sending it to myself because I had put all of my jewelry pictures that I sell on Ebay to a CD.....I could NOT print them from the CD for record keeping so I mailed them to myself ..........probably 300 pictures....stupid me. finally I just uploaded them to my c and then printed and deleted them again. But the file is stuck in out box

 

It has been stuck for 3 days

 

I don't know what to do ????

 

I appreciate you guys helping me........I hope you have some suggestions on how to remove the file.....delete it ........I just want it gone,

 

Do you have more than one identity set up in outlook express ?

I was thinking you could delete the 'outbox.dbx' from your store folder
and replace it with an empty one

I dont use outlook express any more and i have never tried this suggestion
so not sure if it would even work, let alone what damage it may cause.

 

Can I uninstall outlook and then reinstall it and if so how do I do that. I cannot find it in the add and remove programs

I cannot even recover my computer. when I try it askes me for the administrator password and I don't know what the heck that is......I never gave it a password

 

It is in Add/Remove programs. Under Windows Components. (Try hitting alt+w while in Add/REmove)

I don't think removing it from add/remove components does much more than remove the shortcuts for it. Its been a while so, I could be wrong.

This fix isn't as obvious, but is effective.

Search for outbox.dbx.

Rename it to outbox.old.

Outlook Express will build you a new Outbox next time you open it--without the email.

 

nope, nearing the end of summer

you can reinstal outlook express the same way you will be uninstalling it
I think you need a windows instal disc to do this

 

Adrynalyne has the right idea

to find your store folder in outlook express

go to

tools - options - maintenance - store folder


doing it this way you will not lose all of your other emails

Right, my cuz said just do a search for outbox.dbx and change the name like Ad.... said
